The Mushroom Family Reunited

I must say I am pretty obsessed with the mushroom theme lately, rilakkuma, korilakkuma, and kiiroitori all look so kawaii as mushrooms.  So I decided to assemble the ultimate mushroom family lol.

Trying to all fit into a little basket ^_^

Rilakkuma Clover Plush Set

Finally got around to posting about these cuties. I got them a while back in the beginning of August but never got around to make a blog post about them. They deserve better because they are absolutely precious! They are Rilakkuma Store limited plushies and they are only sold at the Japan Rilakkuma stores. They are each holding a four leaf clover and the rilakkuma 'R' is stitched on. Rilakkuma is sporting a yellow t-shirt featuring the face of kiiroitori. The back of the t shirt says 'Rilakkuma Store' and has kiiroitori's tail as well. The tail is what I find so cute!! Korilakkuma and kiiroitori are both wearing a brown t-shirt featuring rilakkuma's face.  The backs of their t-shirts has the signature rilakkuma zipper and tail as well.  And here they are:

Lawson Limited Costume Set - Korilakkuma

Released by Lawson, it's a forest themed korilakkuma costume set! Lawson released costume sets for rilakkuma, korilakkuma, and kiiroitori. They are all very hard to find! I was so glad to find all of them. The korilakkuma set was the hardest to get since I didn't want to pay too much for it. Anyway, let's talk about what is included in this set... So the whole set comes with one korilakkuma plush, a Lawson employee uniform, a mushroom costume, a squirrel costume, a basket, and a kiiroitori mini mushroom. The Lawson employee uniform is slipped on through the front and velcro-ed on the back. The mushroom costume is a joy! It is actually very puffy in the head area and it takes some effort to stuff kori into the costume. The mushroom also has kori's signature red button in the front. The inside lining is a pink satin material. The squirrel costume is just like the squirrel korilakkuma I have from the San-x released forest series! The difference between the two costumes is that this one has a pink satin material lining inside the costume while the San-x released has a colorful flowery print lining inside the costume. Lastly, the Mini kiiroitori mushroom fits perfectly inside the basket. The basket has a little rubber band around the tip to attach to kori's arm. The plush does not come with a paper tag, but the tag attached to the plush reads rilakkuma and is forest themed. It was quite fun to dress up this kori!

Another plush attack!

New set of plush army arrived at my door step yesterday! Woohoo! They are absolutely adorable too. The harajuku shaves ice plush is ever so soft, the white shaved ice in the back is so fluff, it's unbelievably soft. The Christmas set is also so kawaii. There's also korilakkuma Lawson costume set. The ever so expensive year of the tiger chicken is also very cute. There's the rilakkuma french caravan plush. Lastly, the monogram kiiroitori, so puffy and soft.

Rilakkumas attack!

Rilakkuma Daradara Life Marine Series Plush

New blog post for my new darling plush! Here are the daradara life rilakkuma marine series released not too long ago! It's absolutely adorable.  Both rilakkuma and korilakkuma are wearing sailor uniforms and hats.  They make some good looking sailors.  If only San-X would release a kiiroitori sailor as well... he would look absolutely adorable as well.  Just think, a puffy chicken in a sailor uniform... sigh... Anyway, back to rila and kori.  The details in this series is as always on par, from the printing on the uniform to the medallion in the hats to the tags.  Here are the wonderful plushies below...

Rilakkuma Ichibankuji Part 25

Rilakkuma Ichibankuji also known as Rilakkuji, is a raffle where you win every time. You get a prize every time. But the grand prize is obviously hard to get. So this weekend, I tried it out and I only won the lunch boxes and pair glasses. At least I won something! I wanted the lunch boxes, they were so cute and I don't own any lunch boxes so that's a bonus. The pair glasses were also very cute but I have too many glasses already :( running out.of room to put them! The grand prize this time was the huge rilakkuma sailor and korilakkuma sailors. Very cute indeed but if I won them, I would have no room to put them... Just making myself feel better about not winning them.... Haha

Rilakkuma and Kiiroitori Mushroom Set Caravan Limited Plush

Newest addition to the plush family is this mushroom set! It is so cute, especially because rilakkuma has no arms hehe. It's a bit odd but the armless rilakkuma is quite charming as a mushroom. According to the tag, it is a caravan limited plush. Quite rare I guess. I actually had the pink korilakkuma mushroom first and thought it was so cute and decided that I want the rilakkuma and kiiroitori mushroom set ^_^ they go so well together in the little basket!

Rilakkuma Re-ment Collection

I have been collecting the rilakkuma re-ment lately. I managed to find and order almost all of them but I am still missing one set - the Hon-waka bakery. I have always been tempted to buy singles of rilakkuma re-ments when I see them at bookstores or supermarkets but then I really want to collect them all so there's no point buying singles. There's actually quite a few sets released... There's the strawberry sweets party series, relaxing coffee time and chocolate cafe series, warm and fluffy meals series, nonbiri cooking series, Hon-waka bakery series, and the recently released rilakkumart series. I found out that there is another series to be released in August is called the funwari cake shop! Those are only the displayable foods, there's also the cafe table and chair set as well as the display cases in my earlier post. Not only that, re-ment also released mascots in tea room and ice cream! So many to choose from!

More Rilakkuma Madness

I was so surprised to see this big package at my front door! I totally didn't expect this until a few more days later, but I guess EMS is the way to go when it comes to shipping. It only took about 3 days!! Anyway, let's get to the contents of the package... a total of 14 plushies and other some stuff the seller included for free! So many plushies... Rilakkuma overload here... But that should conclude my wreckless shopping sprees I hope. Now that I am pretty much done with my collection, well at least just the ones that I really really want, I should be able to cut back on my spendings hahaha... Not! There just seems to be an endless amount of new rilakkuma products being released every month. So I guess I'll never really stop, will I? O yea, back to the contents of the package, I got quite a few rare ones in there, I'll do a review of them later though. The newest plush in there is the large Lawson Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori Picnic Set. I was really looking forward to that one since I preordered that back in February/March? Can't seem to remember, that was too long ago. I believe it was suppose to cost about 3900 yen and I think it's quite worth it since they are posable plushies and they come with lots of super cute accessories. I guess I will do another review once I get to actually opening this set.

Everything that came in my huge package!  Rilakkuma overload!

Rilakkuma Limited Edition Shirts

Wow I can't believe I was able to find these shirts! Special thanks to my hubby ^_^ So these are limited edition rilakkuma t-shirts that were in the San-X booth at international licensing expo 2012 in Las Vegas. I think the tees were made in collaboration with Junk Food clothing. Pretty awesome right? And they are very soft. The quality of the tees are amazing, they are really comfortable. No doubt they will be worn very many times!

Two lovely tees in brand new in original packaging!

Rilakkuma Nanoblocks

So I finally finished building the nanoblocks! It was pretty easy but time-consuming to build considering there are instructions for exactly what you need to do. It took about 40 minutes for each set, or I just might be very slow... I started building rilakkuma first of course, because he is my favorite hehe, then went on to korilakkuma and kiiroitori. Korilakkuma took a shorter time to build probably cause I already knew how to build rilakkuma. I have to admit though, with the instructions, I could easily just buy regular sized Legos of those colors and build it! But I wouldn't say that I wasted my money buying the kit. It was fun to put together and the nanoblocks really are nano! They are really the tiniest lego-like building blocks I've ever played with.

Hmmm... Maybe I'll buy regular sized Legos and make a non-nano sized version of these... Maybe... But I'll probably be too lazy to count how many pieces exactly... Ehhh...

Rilakkuma Tongs and Stickers

So we dropped by the bookstore with my hubby today after lunch. And we picked up some rilakkuma products!! Again... Haha so we got a sheet of stickers that has the month and birthstone on it and of course features rilakkuma and friends ^_^ the first sheet I got was the May one, which initially caught my eye not because of the month or color but because it has rilakkuma in a cow costume!! And because it is the month of my daughter's birthday. Then I got the October one, which has rilakkuma in a pink squirrel costume and because it's the birth month of my hubby! And finally today I got the one for my birth month, February! It has rilakkuma in a purple theme shirts.

After sticker hunting, I saw the pink korilakkuma tongs! I actually own the same tongs but in yellow, courtesy of my hubby , brought from Japan in February. They are quite useful in the kitchen! So I decided to get the pink ones as well! So that was my dose of rilakkuma shopping addiction for this week hehe... Can't stop buying cute rilakkuma products... Can't stop...

The way the tongs work is that you pull on the top part (bear shaped) and it will lock in place, push the top part down and the tongs will be in release position and ready to grab some pasta or pastries.  The design is quite genius!

Rilakkuma re-ment cases!!

Got these from the mail today!! So happy to receive them!! I went a little overboard with ordering 4 but they were sold out very soon after! Then again, there's so many re-ment rilakkuma sets to fill these cases with. Unfortunately I have yet to purchase these rilakkuma re-ment sets :( will look into it soon, from what I know, there's 5 sets out so far and I want to get them all!!! Ughh they are so cute!! Well I couldn't wait to try these new cases out so I busted out the old hello kitty re-ment set I bought a few years ago in Hong Kong. They were collecting dust in the other case I displayed them in but now, they shall see the light of day once again... At least for a while before I buy all the rilakkuma re-ments! Muhahahahhaha!! The hello kitty set is actually quite nice and the amount of detail is amazing. My personal favorite is the rice cooker :) as for the rilakkuma case, there are three shelves, and a drawer. The drawer opens in the back and has two dividers inside. Very neat design I think. The box also comes with 2 sheets of stickers with 4 designs to decorate the cases with. The cases were actually bigger than I expected :) I will put them to good use soon!!

So many display cases!!!

Mother's Day Shopping Spree

Went Rilakkuma shopping for mother's day!! So nice since the store just got new products in stock the day before, got so many cool things.  Hand towel, stickers, iphone screen protector, forks and spoons for my lovely daughter, sandwich mold, and a super  cute pen!  The pen is really cute, when you press on the pen, rilakkuma turns to the left and eats a bit of the hamburger, and when you press on the pen again, he turns to the right and drinks the lemonade!  Best mother's day ever!

Shopping spree...

Rilakkuma Pancake Flavored Kit Kat

These are actually quite delicious! At first I didn't know what to expect, but once i tried it, i was hooked. It really taste like pancake! My hubby bought it back in February when he went to Japan but I didn't get a chance to try it till today, it's so yummy! I also love the design of the box, it's actually a bit big considering it's only suppose to hold 12 mini size kit kats, but it's all good. The flap has little pictures of rilakkumas dwelling under it, the design is so cute! I looked it up on eBay and apparently it's about ~$40 to get a box from Japan (including shipping) I was pretty surprised, I didn't think it was that expensive for a box of kit kats. But then again, it's rilakkuma haha of course. I don't think my hubby would've bought it if it was that expensive... It was probably way cheaper than $40 but I am too lazy to look up the retail price for these kit kats... Either way, they are so good... I think they are limited though... Hopefully they are still available when I go to Japan. I would love to buy more. ^_^

Kit Kats! Now my favorite flavor!

Year of the Tiger Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma

It's the year of the Tiger rilakkuma and korilakkuma!  They are too cute!  They are both holding a mini tiger plush and wearing tiger head gear! The back of their heads have 2010 embroidered in gold, it's so nice.  They were quite expensive, but very worth it since they are so rare now.

3rd Year Anniversary Rilakkumas

Celebrating their 3rd year anniversary, rilakkuma and kiiroitori are wearing hats with the number 3 cutout in top. The rilakkumas also have the number 3 embroidered on one foot. One of the rilakkumas is holding a pudding while one has kiiroitori on his head, I can't decide which one was cuter so I got both ^_^ Although, I think the orange ribbon around rilakkuma makes it special like a present!

Ice Cream Cones (For Sale!!)

Rilakkuma and korilakkuma are truly foodies, they are always surrounded by delicious looking foods (especially dessert)! This time they are eating ice cream cones! They are wearing a rainbow themed t-shirt ^_^ and I believe they are holding rainbow flavored ice cream. This series was released for the 7th year anniversary of Rilakkuma.

Year of the Bunny

It's the year of the bunny plushes! Or should I say year of the rabbit? These were released in 2011 to celebrate the new year. They all have bunny ears instead of bear ears! The material of the bunny outfit is extremely soft! As if the bunny suits are not cute enough, they are all holding little bunny plushes ^_^ but since kiiroitori has really short arms, he is carrying the little bunny as a purse around his body.

Rainbow Pajamas

They look like they are wearing pajamas for the 7th anniversary of rilakkuma! The pajamas are rainbow themed and they can be taken off! The inside are lined in a silky material according to the color they are wearing. I guess they are having a pajama party for the 7th year anniversary!

Cafe Servers (Korilakkuma & Kiiroitori For Sale)

Rilakkuma is serving a cup of hot chocolate! I'd like a cup of that! Look at that cute bear face in the cup! Korilakkuma is holding a sweet strawberry cake! I'd like a slice of that! Kiiroitori is serving strawberries (on his head?)! I'd like a piece of that! Actually, kiiroitori looks like he is part of the dessert more than a chick!

Seriously though, I would love to go to a cafe where rilakkuma, korilakkuma, and kiiroitori are serving me delicious drinks and pastries. That would be the best place to be when I am craving sweets! Yum!

Bears in Disguise

The three cuties are trying to fool us!! It would be nice if I had a rilakkuma hat with ears too! Their hats are detachable and the inside lining is a polka dot print of different colors. They are also holding little versions of their friends :) kiiroitori's bear ears are so cute!

Sweet Honey

The honey bees are working hard!! They all put on little bee shorts with wings in the back. They even have antennas on their heads. Too kawaii!! But too bad kiiroitori is missing... I am guessing that korilakkuma is the queen bee and rilakkuma is the worker bee?

Squirrel Army

There's something about these squirrels that's not quite right... They're pink!! Squirrels aren't usually pink right? But that's what makes them so adorable! :) Anyway, I think rilakkuma is especially cute because of the squirrel cape, it's not like a full suit like korilakkuma and kiiroitori. The cape is actually really cool, the inside is lined with a cute flower pattern, I would like to have one myself and pretend to be a pink squirrel. The cape and the bodysuits are removable! I just wish they made one in my size ^_^

Moo Moo and Clover

The cow rilakkuma is the first ever official rilakkuma plush I bought but still remains as my all time favorite... When I first saw it at kinokuniya, I didn't want to buy it even though I thought he was absolutely adorable with his little bell and ribbon around his neck, and the cute little cow tail (the usual tail of rila is round), and of course the zipper on his back, he is oh so cute!! But then my hubby (boyfriend back then) and I went to see it every time we went to kinokuniya. It was almost as if I went there for the sole purpose of visiting cow rilakkuma. So my hubby finally decided to buy it for me because he figured that eventually someone will buy it (cause it's so cute) and he didn't want me to be disappointed the next time I visit kinokuniya only to find cow rilakkuma gone. Thank you hubby! You were right, they cow rilakkuma were sold out fast! My hubby loves to tease me about how much I like the cow rilakkuma, so he pretends to hate it and abuse my precious cow rilakkuma, he even hung cow rilakkuma once :( but I know he secretly loves rilakkuma just like I do hehehe, it's a love-hate relationship between those two! Anyway, we bought the rilakkuma about 2 years ago at its regular price but now it is so difficult to find another one! And if you are lucky enough to find one, it will surely be very expensive :(

About the cow korilakkuma... I bought her pretty recently on ebay for a decent price. She was used and had a little tiny stain in the back of the head, but it was okay considering no one else was selling it at the time and I desperately wanted to reunite cow rilakkuma and cow korilakkuma!! They look even cuter together! When my hubby vacationed in Japan, he took cow korilakkuma with him because I couldn't go with :( but of course he went to the Rilakkuma Store at the Tokyo station and went on a shopping spree for me muahahahahahaha... He brought back a whole suitcase full of rilakkuma!!

The kiiroitori is looking a little odd there in its clover themed attire... Well that's because in this series, there were 5 different kinds of plushies: cow rilakkuma, cow korilakkuma, clover kiiroitori, clover rilakkuma, and clover korilakkuma. He was part of the set and I was able to get him for a cheap price so I bought him to complete the family. He is nonetheless very cute and detailed with his clover necklace, ladybug on his head, and big clover in his hand. I was never able to find the clover rila and clover kori though :(
